Strengthening Quality Assurance at Isra University – RIPE Framework in Action
Under the Visionary Leadership of Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, Vice-Chancellor of Isra University, and Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi, President & CEO of Isra Islamic Foundation. Isra University’s Institutional Quality Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) successfully organized an insightful workshop on “Effective Graduate Program Review: The Role of Stakeholder Collaboration” on Monday, February 17, 2025. The session aimed to enhance the effectiveness of Postgraduate program reviews by emphasizing the importance of stakeholder engagement in quality assurance processes.The workshop was led by Mr. Babar Ali Kalhoro (Deputy Director IQAE, LUMHS Jamshoro) as the resource person and Mr. Muhammad Murad Memon (Director IQAE, Isra Hyderabad) as the co-resource person. Their expertise and guidance provided participants with valuable insights into strengthening program evaluation through collaborative efforts.The session was attended by Deans, Chairpersons, faculty members from all the campuses of the Isra University who actively participated in discussions on best practices for conducting Postgraduate program review.



Effective Graduate Program Review: Strengthening Academic Quality through Stakeholder Collaboration
The Institutional Quality Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) of Isra University successfully conducted a workshop titled “Strengthening Quality Assurance at Isra University – RIPE Framework in Action.” The workshop was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Salman Shafique, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry & Allied Sciences, who also serves as the Chair of the Institutional Performance Report (IPR) Committee. The session brought together distinguished members of the IPR Committee, including participants from various academic and non-academic departments, with a focus on enhancing quality assurance practices and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the university. Mr. Muhammad Murad Memon, Director IQAE, contributed as the resource person for the workshop.Key Highlights of the Workshop:• Introduction to the Revised Quality Assurance (QA) Framework• Understanding RIPE Standards and Process Components• Review Methods and Judgment Framework Based on RIPE for Universities• Formation of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC), known at Isra University as the Quality Assurance Committee (IUQAC)• Defining the Role of the Institutional Performance Report (IPR) Committee• Departmental Responsibilities in Implementing RIPE Standards• Interactive Learning Activities (Activity #1 & Activity #2)• Tentative Timeline for RIPE Implementation• Engaging Question & Answer SessionThe workshop served as a vital platform to reinforce Isra University’s commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance through active collaboration, strategic planning, and cross-departmental engagement.



Ensuring Program Success: The Role of Self-Assessment & Stakeholder Collaboration
Isra University’s Institutional Quality Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) successfully organized an insightful workshop on “Ensuring Program Success: The Role of Self-Assessment and Stakeholder Collaboration” on February 11, 2025. This session focused on strengthening academic quality through self-assessment and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
The session was honored by the presence of the Dean, Faculty of Business Education, Social Sciences & Humanities, the Dean, Faculty of Dentistry & Allied Sciences, Chairpersons, faculty members, and program team members. Their valuable insights and engagement made the workshop highly interactive and impactful.
The workshop was led by Director IQAE, Mr. Muhammad Murad Memon, who guided participants through the self-assessment process. Participants were engaged in an interactive activity where they compared the criteria and EOI of the old SAR with the format of PREE and worked on providing responses for the EOI of the PREE format relevant to their academic programs.
This initiative reflects Isra University’s commitment to academic excellence by ensuring that self-assessment processes align with Revised QA Framework (PSG-2023), leading to continuous improvement.
