Engr. Yaqoob Ali Baloch – Associate
Institutional Quality Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) – Isra University, Hyderabad.
Engr. Yaqoob Ali Baloch is currently serving as an Associate in the Office of Institutional Quality Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) at Isra University, Hyderabad. He is actively engaged in advancing academic excellence, supporting accreditation processes, and contributing to institutional development. His responsibilities include facilitating internal quality reviews, overseeing the preparation and submission of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs), and managing teacher and course evaluations through the Moodle platform. In addition to his core duties, he serves as the alternate focal person for HES Data, where he is responsible for managing statistical data for the Higher Education Commission (HEC), including student enrollment, faculty records, and institutional resources. He also manages the IQAE Scorecard and oversees the Pakistan Qualification Register (PQR) on the HEC e-portal, ensuring accurate data reporting and compliance with institutional performance evaluation standards, including the PGPR.
Mr. Yaqoob Ali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, which he earned in 2022. Before joining Isra University, he also had the opportunity to work as a Research Assistant at NCRA-CMS LAB MUET, leading to two international and seven national publications. His final-year project, funded by NGIRI 2021-2022 and PEC under national-level FYDPs financial awards 2022, won prizes in four national and international competitions.
His professional journey includes six months of Trainee Engineer experience under the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission program. He has also served as Senior Coordinator for Event Management & Training Coordinator for Content Writing in PRIDE OF MUET & QS World Merit. Passionate about social impact, he is actively involved in youth activism and social work, and has contributed as a member of IEEE IES, IEEE IME, IEEE Computer Society Karachi Section, and 15+ welfare organizations in Sindh.
In recognition of his leadership abilities, he was honored to serve as Team Leader for India, Malaysia & Sri Lanka in IEEE Young Professionals Region 10 (2021). He is also a Senior Member of QS World Merit Pakistan, working to implement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a columnist and writer in English, Urdu, and Sindhi newspapers and magazines, he uses his voice to raise awareness on critical issues. Currently, he is serving as Director of Projects under Youth Lead Climate Change (YLCC) Pakistan and Director of Content at Engineer Talks. He takes immense pride in being a part of Isra University and remains committed to contributing to its ongoing success and mission of academic excellence. The knowledge, experience, and opportunities he has gained there continue to shape his career, and he looks forward to making even greater contributions to the field of education and quality enhancement.
